An urban development practitioner, with expertise in urban planning, project management, project monitoring and evaluation and research on urban issues. Her work experience ranges from urban infrastructure and sustainable planning urban mobility, planning for public spaces, participatory slum upgrading–to building resilient cities. Bessy is passionate about working on projects or initiatives that make powerful and positive impact in building liveable urban environments within African Cities. She is a strong believer in local, community-based solutions to urban transformation. She is a finalist in a joint international MSc program in Spatial Planning at TU Dortmund, Germany and UFABC, Brazil.
