“Talk for Peace” – Afghanistan
Farida Amiri is a peacebuilder and advocate from Afghanistan, dedicated to engaging women and youth in the Afghan peace processes. She founded the initiative “Peace Friends” to build youth and women-focused networks that promote and support peace-building activities in the context of Afghanistan. For her SDG Micro-Project Farida brought together a group of volunteers to host a roundtable session on the significance of peace, peace-building activities, social harmony, social and civil involvement of young men and women, and the cruciality of gender equality. She, therefore, focused on SDG 5 and SDG 16.
