Launch of the 2nd Year of “Global Citizens at Work”

The Ban Ki-moon Centre is excited to launch the second year of the “Global Citizens at Work” mentorship program in collaboration with the Muslim Youth of Austria🌎

The kick-off event was held online on April 16th with the selected young women mentees and their mentors. The session was moderated by Ban Ki-moon Centre Program Officer Julia Zimmerman and Melisa Boskovic from Muslim Youth of Austria detailed the process awaiting the young women. 21 mentors including Ban Ki-moon Centre CEO Monika Froehler met their mentees for the first time.
This year the program will guide 21 young Muslim women in the framework of #SDG5 – Gender Equality; #SDG10 -Reduced Inequalities; #SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals. Pairing Austrian Muslim women with Austrian female professionals, we seek to foster interaction, build networks, and empower mentees to be active global citizen leaders in their respective fields:   #education#politics#internationalrelations#technicalfields#law#business,  #research. The continuing mentoring sessions will currently be held online due to #covid19 🌐 Good luck to all our mentees and thank you to all our mentors!
