The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens and its Co-chairs advocate for equality, diversity and inclusivity within the framework of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The world has come a long way since the Stonewall Riots in 1969 but injustice, discrimination and exclusion are still a part of the daily life of the LGBTQ+ community.
Despite COVID, let’s continue to celebrate acceptance and solidarity this year too. Let’s stand up for one another in the fight against discrimination and let’s praise the diversity of humankind. We encourage all global citizens to be proud and to speak out!
