The second Board meeting of the Ban Ki-moon Centre is held in Alpbach, Austria

The Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens had its second Board meeting held in Alpbach, Austria on August 27th, 2018. Most of the Board members were present as well as the Centre’s affiliated office personnel as observers of the meeting.

The BKM Centre CEO Monika Froehler briefed the Centre’s overview, and Global PR Special Advisor Chun Jee-in of the BKMC Center for Sustainable Development at Yonsei University and Rector Galym Mutanov of Al-Farabi Kazkh National University also introduced their institutes to the Board.

The Board members discussed strategic blueprint to foster the co-development of the Centre and its affiliated offices and partners and suggested potential cooperative areas and projects. The outcomes of the Board meeting will further the Centre’s efforts and broaden its partnerships in implementing the SDGs and reaching its mission.

The Board also approved and welcomed two new Board members: Senior Advisor Andrea Pfanzelter of KAICIID and Chairman Dimitri de Vreeze of the Supervisory Board of DSM Nederland, whose biographies can be found on the Centre’s website page:
