The Ban Ki-moon Centre is a Quasi-International Organization under Austrian law. It is a charitable non-profit institution with affiliated offices and entities around the globe. It is co-chaired by the 8th Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon and by the 11th President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer and works for women and youth empowerment in the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Agreement.
The BKMC is funded by voluntary contributions by governments and private sector donors, individuals and Foundations. The Centre provides detailed narrative and financial reports on its activities to its donors, complying with their reporting requirements and reports to the Ministry of Finance in Austria regarding the Status as a Quasi International Organizations. The BKMC finances are audited annually.
Donations to the BKMC are welcome. Grants and donations to the BKMC are received in the understanding that the Centre´s reputation, integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality of its work will not be put at risk. If you want to be become a donor of the BKMC please write us at ‘office[at]bankimooncentre.org’.
The BKMC is responsible for its funders and programmatic work. Unsolicited requests for grants, funding, or donations will not be responded.
A global citizen is someone who self-identifies first and foremost not as a member of a state, a tribe or a nation, but as a member of the human race, and someone who is prepared to act on that belief, to tackle our world’s greatest challenges depicted by the Sustainable Development Goals.

The BKMC logo and brand is protected according to the standards of the European Intellectual Property Organization (EUIPO). The logo can only be used with the expressed agreement of the BKMC on a case by case basis.
