About

The BKMC believes that promoting global citizenship (SDG 4.7) will foster a new generation of leaders who cultivate empathy, sustainability and human rights. Digital technology helps us to overcome barriers and stimulates new ideas, whereas art has the power to act as a catalyst for protest and activism. The BKMC Poster Design Competition asked all changemakers out there to send us their vision of a global citizen, encouraging them to use their creativity as a communication tool that will inspire others to take action.

Over 200 individual posters from 45+ different countries from each continent were submitted, depicting a world of solidarity, diversity and equality through global citizenship. The diversity of the submitted posters perfectly mirrors the broad scope of global citizenship. The top 3 winners were selected by our stellar jury committee consisting of the Austrian renowned graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister, African Youth Envoy Aya Chebbi, as well as Co-chairs Ban Ki-moon and Heinz Fischer.
